T O P I C R E V I E WUrania*My sister, got engaged after six years of being with her b/f and 2 weeks later found out that she was pregnant too. They intended to have children as soon as they got married, I guess it came a little faster than that. As you can see all this is very overwhelming but exciting, happy news for her. She's thinking of getting married in early May. We advised her to consider getting married at the end of February -she'll be 6 months pregnant in early May :S - but she feels that, that would be too stressful for her. Too many things to arrange and too little time. They can't get married during March or April because our church doesn't allow weddings during lent. Sooo I'm giving you their birth data and two possible dates so that we could maybe help her choose the best possible date?Sister's birthdata: 7 march 1976, 00:25 AM, Heraklion, Crete, GreeceSister's Fiance: 3 June 1978, 17:35 PM, Heraklion, Crete, GreeceThe two possible dates we're looking into is 2 March 2008 16:00 PM CreteOR3 May 2008 17:00 CreteThe 3rd of May is the most possible one of the two. I noticed that her natal Saturn conjuncts transit Mars in Cancer. Which is pretty symbolic I think. My sister's fiance was quite the player and for a very long time he was completely against the idea of marriage. My sister had to wait for a long time for him to come around. EighthMoonHi Urania!I checked into the first date, March 2nd, and it's a good date for both of them, according to Magi astrology. Lots of favorable aspects for a lasting marriage. I didn't check into the synastry of the couple.Congratulations on your sister's marriage and on your new addition to be! 8thPeriCongratulations! Transits on March 2 look much better, I think aries sunCongratulations!!!!!!! I have a question. Can you really tell what a good day is by the couple's birthday?EighthMoonHi AriesSun,You check what aspects the transiting planets make to eachother, as well as the aspects that the transits make to each person's natal chart. 8thUrania*Thanks EighthMoon & Peri. I do hope she'll consider the 2nd of March more now. If not, well at least I tried. aries sunInteresting EighthMoonAries,You can create a "birth chart" for the wedding date at Astro.com. Check those aspects, then create the natals for the 2 people. Check the synastry of each person with the transits. Here are a few things to look for:"Good:Waxing Moon trine or sextile Sun, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, or Neptune. Moon conjunct Sun, Venus, Jupiter, Neptune. Venus is strongest in the signs of her rulership and exaltation: Taurus, Libra, Cancer and Pisces. One of the easiest ways to strengthen the chart is to pick a time when Venus or Jupiter is close to the Midheaven or 7th house cusp of the chart. The Midheaven is especially important. Venus (love) trine or sextile Saturn (stability, endurance and tradition). Other planets in easy aspect to Saturn are also good. Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter. Venus, Sun, Moon, Mercury, or Saturn trine, sextile, conjunct, or opposite Jupiter is lucky, optimistic and bounces back from trouble easily. Mars with Jupiter is especially lucky. Venus conjunct, trine, sextile or opposite Mars supports a healthy sex life. Venus, Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, or Saturn in easy aspect to Neptune supports compassion and spiritual growth. Avoid:Venus retrograde Waning or void of course Moon Venus conjunct, square or opposite Saturn. Saturn stabilizes but can be like a wet blanket on Venus. It may work if there are other planets in supportive aspects (trine, sextile) to the conjunction or opposition. You definitely don’t want anything else squaring it. Moon conjunct or square Mars, Saturn, or Pluto. Venus in the signs of her detriment and fall: Scorpio, Aries, Capricorn and Virgo. These signs may work if Venus is very well aspected, strongly placed, and in harmony with both natal charts. Mars under stress (squares, oppositions, some conjunctions) is passionate and sexual, but can also indicate fighting and arguments. Saturn, Uranus, or Mars in an angular house (unless Mars is conjunct Venus). Finer pointsHaving the rulers of the 1st and 7th houses in a favorable aspect is good. If you can’t put Venus or Jupiter on an angle, see if you can put the Venus/Jupiter midpoint there. Unfortunately, we can’t arrange the planets to our liking. We have to work with the planets and what they are doing, and there is no perfect chart. A few klunkers are unavoidable. In fact, a chart without klunkers tends to be weak and lacks focus. Imagine how boring life would be if there were only sweet, and no bitter. But you don’t want the klunkers driving the bus in your marriage chart. Let’s say in your chart the Moon trines Venus— good! But she squares Uranus— hmmm… The thing to do here is look for a time when Venus is in an angular house and Uranus is not. Remember, the angular houses are much more powerful. Planets in angular houses “have the microphone” in the chart. In a harmonious wedding chart, the happier planets hold the mike. In a discordant chart, planets under stress hold the mike." http://www.north-node.com/astrology-tutorials/how-to-choose-a-wedding-date Also, check out SagSun's Venus/Chiron link for good and bad aspects for marriage and date. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/015384.html 8tharies sunThank You 8th Urania*Yey! I think we convinced her. She's coming around and realizing that the 2nd of March is the best choice. She'll be too big in May. Hopefully everything will go well with pregnancy and the wedding. Diandra23Congradulations and ALL THE BEST
